In March, she received some media attention when her name was mentioned as a potential candidate to succeed Hope Hicks in the role as communications director. It hasn't been an easy fight. Schlapp said that after the Washington Examiner had published an article with negative comments about Sayegh's character, she called Sayegh in a private chat.
